Research Activities
Only 10% of the research activities are carried out directly by ICMRS; the vast majority of research is performed by universities and university clinics with the support of ICMRS.
The topics are far-reaching and comprehensive:
- The impact of cariogenic organisms on infants due to nutritive and non-nutritive sucking
- Colonization of bacteria in different plastics and in the production and use of baby products
- The change in the attitude of mothers in regards to breastfeeding
- Pacifier use and morbidity of children during the first six months
- Investigation concerning SIDS prevention
- Latex protein allergy in young children
- Migration of Bisphenol A from Baby Bottles
- Pacifiers and orthodontic effects
- Pacifiers for premature babies
- The effect of pacifiers on breast feeding
Research findings are generally submitted directly by the research teams for publication without citing the ICMRS.
